Amy Benchener and her husband Matt were blessed to have been mentored by the Haggards during their teen years. After feeling God’s call to get involved with Blazing Hope’s amazing mission, Amy joined the Board in 2019.
Amy graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors degree in Finance and Accounting and from Rider University with a Masters in Business Administration concentrating in Marketing.
Amy comes to Blazing Hope with diverse experience in corporate finance, sales, nonprofits and education. She began her career at Johnson and Johnson in their Financial Leadership Development Program, with rotations in their Pharmaceutical Research, Cancer Biologics, and Nutritionals businesses. She then became Director of Accounts at a software start up while teaching Business and Marketing courses at Rider University. Amy was on the Board of Fund a Cure for Pancreatic Cancer for ten years and also served on the Board of Crossing Cooperative Nursery School as the Head of Fundraising.
The Benchener family: Amy, her husband Matt, children Jackson Gregory and Addison Sedona live in the greater Philadelphia area. Amy currently serves at her church as a leader in the children’s AWANA program, and is a key member of her children’s schools.
