Blazing Hope Ranch stands firmly on basic foundational beliefs of the Christian faith. The body of Christ is diverse in doctrine and practice. We welcome all those who wish to partner with us in this important mission.

 

Those who serve with us on the board and on our staff should hold to these core beliefs:

 

Personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, that salvation is obtained by grace through faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ on the cross, the authority and inerrancy of the Bible as the Word of God, the sovereignty of the three persons of the trinity; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and the necessity for exhibiting godly character and participation in a local church as a member of the body of Christ.

 

Beyond these core beliefs, we operate as an organization with the following as our guide:

 

God is the creator and sustainer of all things.  He is sovereign, set apart, glorious and beautiful. He is one God who has revealed himself in three persons; Father, Son and Spirit.  He is entirely perfect, just, loving and good in who he is and in all he does.

 

Humans were carefully designed by God to be in his very likeness; a special creation to be in unique relationship with him. However, mankind rebelled against God and their imperfection built a wall of separation between them and their creator. This rebellion marred the designers’ image in us all. Broken humans have corrupted the world around us ever since; taking that which is beautiful and true and exploiting it for selfish and debased purposes.

 

Justice demands an end to rebellion and ultimately leads to the physical and spiritual death of all mankind.  But God was not satisfied to leave mankind to themselves and suffer the natural consequences of their actions.  Instead he chose to enter our brokenness and take on human flesh as Jesus. He lived among us and ultimately took the punishment for our rebellion upon himself.  His death on the cross in our stead and powerful resurrection conquered the corruption and decay and removed the guilt and shame for all who believe.

 

Followers of Jesus have a renewed purpose as redeemed image-bearers who desire to share the story of God’s justice and love.  The voice of Micah 6:8 to “do justly, love mercy and walk in humility with our God” stands as blazing hope in a hurting world. We are called to remind others of the glory of the creator, mankind’s original design and relationship to God and the beauty of his creation.

 

We recognize the value in every human life.  Women sold as slaves are caught in the brokenness of the world, robbed of their dignity as his special creation and treated as mere objects for another’s pleasure or prosperity.  We strive to share the message of redemption and the plan of a savior who can restore all things. Lead by biblical principles, in concert with effective therapeutic strategies, female survivors will be guided toward mental, emotional and spiritual wholeness and enabled to live lives of fullness and purpose.

 

We magnify the creator by honoring his creation.  Horses, along with all created things have also suffered in a corrupted world. Human rebellion leads to devastating exploitation of the majestic animals and natural resources entrusted to us for our enjoyment, appreciation and care.  To glorify the creator we strive to be faithful stewards of all we have and redeem our property and unwanted or neglected horses for the purposes God designed.
